LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT: Michele Nosari
Includes Updates On:

Back in May 2022, after I was appointed President of Women Of The Summit, I wrote about
5 reasons to join our organization. That article was full of promise and hope and heck, a lot of optimism about what we could be. Now, fast forward to October and I am pleased to share with you what we have accomplished in just FIVE MONTHS. No longer just wishing and dreaming, we have results and definitive plans.
MORE REASONS TO
JOIN & SUPPORT
WOMEN OF THE SUMMIT in 2022
THRIVE in LIFE: COMMUNITY & NETWORKING: Robust Membership and Calendar
Women of The Summit has grown from 8 to 50+ Memberships since May 2022.
Back in May, the world came into a new phase of the pandemic where, like a lot of non-profits, we were in a state of rebuilding. Now we are a solid group of like-minded women who are connecting and thriving together every week.
Most of our events are open to the public and we regularly welcome new and repeat attendees to each event. We are a varied mix of generations, small business owners, professional leaders and part-timers. Some long-time locals and even more women who moved to Summit County in the last 3-months to 3+ years. We work from home, offices, coffee shops and co-spaces and sometimes even the trail head. We are full-time and part-time. We like to get outside together, learn together, volunteer together and socialize together.

SUPPORT AND EDUCATION: LUNCH & LEARN
The Lunch & Learn Series is our signature event, supporting our community in learning from each other to grow our network of resources. We pivoted from a single speaker presenting their business, to using our events to serve a higher purpose and mapped up an intentional calendar of topics and presenters relevant to the modern 2022 Summit County Woman.
August was a key turnaround point that found us at Woman-Owned Timberline Craft Kitchen & Cocktails in Silverthorne. This event featured a panel of local Marketing Celebs and included lots of time for valuable Q&A along with plenty of mingling and a spontaneous after party! Over 50 women attended and the energy in the room was inspiring!

Leah Rybak, Owner LMR Consulting

This was also the month we engaged with local female professional photographers to capture our events while supporting their business.

FRIENDSHIPS & NETWORKING: MORE EVENING MIXERS
After surveying our community, we expanded the evening happy hours from a semi-annual event to a now regular & consistent part of our calendar.
In September we hosted a Speed Networking Mixer at Starter Haus in Breckenridge. Thank you to Clare McManus, Senior VP Leader at Gravity Haus for helping put this event together. Meeting women in leadership like Clare continues to inspire our community!

The feedback from this event was exactly what we were aiming to provide!
NEW! CASUAL MEET UPS & WORKSHOPS
With so many members and repeat guests it was obvious that the desire to be a part of our community exceeded just hosting one signature event each month. So we added more! Coffee Connections,
